The Walnut Acre Weekly - Kitchen Fun, Outdoor Adventures and More

This post for last week is a little late but here it is anyway.

WORDS TO LIVE BY

Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6

IN THE KITCHEN

Tuesday evening Michael wanted to help me make dinner and then eat it by candle light. So he helped me make Sausage Stuffed Squash and brownies and helped set the table and light the candles. The food turned out delicious and it was kind of cozy around the table with the flickering candle light.

One Michael's favorite foods is oatmeal with homemade brown sugar and milk. He wanted to learn how to make it himself so I gave him instructions and let him make it. He did a good job and then ate every bit of the oatmeal he had cooked.

FUR, FINS, FEATHERS AND FOUR FOOTED FRIENDS

We went by my friend, Jennifer's, house Thursday evening so that Austin could help her son unload a washer and dryer. While we were there Amanda hung out with their Bearded Dragon named Snuff. He was a pretty cool critter.

AROUND THE HOUSE

We made a start at getting them house decorated for Christmas. The kids put up the greenery and a few other decorations on the banister going up the steps and in the upstairs hall. This made Michael REALLY happy!

OUT AND ABOUT

These first two collages were from a couple weeks ago when Amanda and Charity had a pillow fight at my sister's house. And Ericka just goes on reading like nothing is happening beside her.

We were at my sister's again last Sunday. It was a nice afternoon just relaxing and also playing music and singing.

Monday and Tuesday we were all home all day. It was nice but by Wednesday I was ready to look at something else awhile. Amanda had an appointment Wednesday afternoon and then we went to church.

Thursday we were at Darlene's house again. This pile of people on the couch amused me. It's nothing unusual to see them all pile on this way.

Friday morning we ran a few errands but there wasn't much we needed to do so it didn't take long at all.

Saturday evening Michael and I went to the Waynesboro Christmas parade. We were able to get a wonderful parking spot where we could sit in our warm vehicle and watch the parade go by. We didn't stay in the whole time but it was nice to be able to warm up without missing anything. I was disappointed that none of my pictures of the parade turned out well though.

AND MORE

After rain Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Michael and I were so glad to get out of the house for our daily walk/ride again Thursday and Friday.

Saturday afternoon Michael, Talis and I walked through the field to the creek. The boys needed to run off some energy and I enjoyed sitting in the sun watching them play.
